The Most Problematic Nissan Model

Every vehicle brand has it’s own peculiar issue, this is evident when factory recalls are made. Since technical faults are spotted while in use, manufacturers rely on feedbacks from car owners to make necessary adjustments, sometimes major call-backs.

Nissan hasn’t been exempted from this problem. According to analysis was run on all Nissan models and complain statistics was drawn. Based on the models that received the most negative reviews a top ten list was given:

  2. Nissan Pathfinder: 1,801
  3. Nissan Maxima: 1,226
  4. Nissan Xterra: 1,004
  5. Nissan Frontier: 893
  6. Nissan Rogue: 736
  7. Nissan Sentra: 730
  8. Nissan Versa: 655
  9. Nissan Murano: 613
  10. Nissan Quest: 373

It very apparent that Nissan Altima topped the list by quite a margin. Statistically looking, the 2013 model recieved the most negative review followed by the 2009 model.

The most common complaints were

  1. Transmission System Problems: 183
  2. Interior Accessories Problems: 100
  3. Windows/Windshield Problems: 64
  4. Air conditioner Problems: 51
  5. Steering Problems: 37
  6. Engine Problems: 34
  7. Brake Problems: 33
  8. Seatbelts/ Airbags Problems: 24
  9. Body and Paint Problems: 22
  10. Exterior Accessories Problems: 13
  11. Electrical Problems: 11
  12. Wheels/Hubs Problems: 10
  13. Fuel System Problems: 5
  14. Lights Problems: 5
  15. Suspension Problems: 4
  16. Drivetrain Problems: 3
  17. Cooling System Problems: 1
  18. Exhaust System Problems: 1
  19. Miscellaneous Problems: 1

As we can see transmission problems are major issues in the 2013 Nissan Altima. We can safely say that the 2013 Nissan Altima is the most problematic model in the Nissan range as of recent.
